Job Duties
Up to $25,000 Bonus for Registered Nurses that are new to state service and remain with the facility for 2 years.
$15,000 sign on bonus will be awarded to new hires to state service with a one-year written agreement requirement.
An additional $10,000 retention bonus will eb awarded to new hires who are hired after November 9th, 2023. The retention bonus will be paid out one year after hire date and require a on-year written agreement.
Eastern State Hospital, located in Williamsburg, Virginia, was founded in 1773, with a well-intentional emphasis on community focused mental health care. ESH is currently hiring for 12-hour shifts: Day/Evening 7:00 a.m. 7:30 p.m. or Evening/Night 7:00 p.m. 7:30 a.m.
The entry level Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients through utilization of the nursing process in accordance with hospital policy and procedure and standards of nursing care and practice. Supervises, documents, evaluates and provides evidence in performance of staff.
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications
Registered Nurse or license eligible; multi-state compact endorsement accepted or licensed within 90 days of employment.
Additional Considerations
Psychiatry and or geriatric related experience preferred.
Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution of higher education preferred.
