RN Unit Coordinator - Cardiac/VIR Prep and Recovery. This is a full Time, Day shift position. No nights or weekends!

5 day 8 hour shifts is the preference for this position.

The Cardiac/VIR Prep and Recovery unit is responsible for prepping and recovering cardiac cath, VIR, and EP patients. ACLS required, s trong cardiac background preferred . Operational hours of the department will be 0530 -2030 Monday - Friday. Candidates will be expected to rotate shifts within the operational hours in order to maintain competency of all aspects of care both pre and post procedure.

The RN Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

Requirements:

• 18 months nursing experience required.
• BSN required; Master degree preferred, if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required.
• ACLS Preferred
• BLS Required
• RN Licensure Required
• Cardiac background strongly preferred
• Critical Care experience strongly preferred
• Experience in Interventional Radiology highly preferred

Job Summary

18 months nursing experience required. BSN required; Master degree preferred, if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required. Meets any requirements defined by specific specialty.
Behavioral Health - de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.
Emergency Care - de-escalation and physical intervention training within 90 days of hire.
BLS required within 90 days of hire. Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.

Qualifications:

N-4YR - RN-Bachelor's Level Degree (Required), N-6YR - RN-Master's Level Degree (Required), N-DN - RN-Doctorate Level Degree (Required)

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Registered Nurse (RN) Single State - Nursing License - North Carolina, Registered Nurse (RN) Single State - Nursing License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP), Registered Nurse License (RN) - Nursing License - Compact/Multi-State License
