Requirements
- Responsible for assisting in the development of heavy civil design projects, focusing on transportation-related structures (bridges, walls, etc.).
- Perform structural engineering calculations from preliminary to final design, under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.
- Produce drawings and develop cost estimates.
- Coordinate with project staff, including other disciplines.
- Recent graduate, or up to 4 years of structural design experience required. Those with professional experience should have been primarily focused on surface transportation projects.
- BSCE is required.
- Flexible schedule available
- Fundamentals of Engineering passed, or a demonstrated ability to achieve within a year of joining Lochner.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
- Strong commitment to client service, both internal and external, is required.
