Auria is looking to hire a Software Engineer to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. The primary work location is in Colorado Springs, CO.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for software development in the Java language.
Maintain, debug, and configure related software products.
Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications.
Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs.
Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve the overall efficiency of the operating system.
Designs, codes, tests, and implements tools for operations automation.
Works on most phases of software systems programming applications and may require instruction and guidance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume if applicable.
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 0 years of related experience with a PhD. Or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
Command and control system application development.
Ability to work independently and possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment.
Software engineering and software development with Java/JEE experience.
Must have experience and knowledge of basic software practices such as coding standards and configuration management.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Familiarity with Java foundation classes and toolkits.
Knowledge of server-side/database development and computer system administration.
Experience working as part of an Agile team.
Experience using common software development and management tools, such as GitLab, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Maven or Gradle, and Eclipse.
Good understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and SysML diagrams.
Experience developing software for Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.
Experience with Software Integration testing, including developing automated test scripts.
Strong problem-solving skills, including reviewing performance issues, identifying root causes, and recommending and developing a solution.
Experience with Risk Management Framework/STIG/Fortify/SonarQube mitigation.
Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance which is required to start.
Preferred Qualifications:
Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasks is highly desirable.
Automated test and pipeline development experience is desired.
Salary Range: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($99,610 - $113,000).
