Title: Surgical Scrub Technician
Location: Moab, UT

Position : 1
Schedule : Scheduled week days requires on call responsibilities, including rotating evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Position Summary:
This position plays an essential role by assisting surgeons during operations and ensuring the operating room is sterile at all times. Scrub Techs must possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail with a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient safety. Our ideal candidate is a compassionate, critical thinker and is able to act effectively in emergencies. Due to the rural location, candidates must possess a comprehensive range of general scrub skills, including central sterile processing, and be able to adapt and learn without hesitancy.
Job requirements:
Current BLS Certification
Available to take average 8-10 call days per month (up to 14, depending on staffing levels), with 20-minute response time to hospital
Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures, preferred
Prior experience as a scrub/surgical technologist, preferred
Experience with central sterile processing, preferred
A great team player with excellent communication skills including oral, written, and listening skills
Cool tempered with emotional and physical stamina and able to respond effectively in stressful situations with changing circumstances
1-year Surgical Tech experience, preferred but not required
Certified Surgical Tech, preferred but not required
