Responsibilities:
This position is within the Global Product Stewardship team and is responsible for supporting the Engineered Materials (EM) business in The Americas. Location is Dallas area.
• Ensure regulatory compliance of products and raw materials in the Americas, including handling process approval such as PS blocks and Evolve, maintenance of product and raw material data, review of new product and raw material introductions, and review of product and raw material changes.
• Function as focal person within Business Line (BL) Product Stewardship team for BLs, particularly Santoprene business lines; Keep engaging the BLs by informing regulatory updates and impact to BLs and leverage support from other PS teams to support BLs.
• Provide regulatory guidance and perform risk review of raw materials and product formulations related to end uses, food contact, sensitive end use and polymer identification.
• Collaborate within global product stewardship team to solve challenges/changes related to raw materials, safety data sheets, and SAP EHS.
• Respond to internal and external customers' regulatory inquiries and actively engage with stakeholders on a regular basis.
• Create training programs.
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Participate in Responsible Care Initiative, monitor emerging regulations, assess impact, and communicate to stakeholders
Qualifications:
BS Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other related technical fields with some experience in the chemical industry or related business.
Experience in reading and understanding regulatory requirements including knowledge of REACH, TSCA, FIFRA, FDA guidelines, and food contact.
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate throughout all levels of the organization, translating regulatory/technical information clearly and concisely.
Capable of independent planning and coordination skills and the ability to react and lead in changing environments.
Trusted to work virtually and motivate others.
Experience with SAP Business warehouse systems.
