*Description*
*JOB SUMMARY:*
Painters are responsible for the efficient and safe execution of preparation, painting, and maintenance tasks as assigned.
*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
- Perform surface preparation activities, which include masking and sanding of the product prior to painting or sandblasting.
- Proficient with use of Airless and Conventional paint spaying systems with very minimal to no defects.
-Knowledge and application of wet painting and proper paint mixing technique (ex: two part Epoxy primer and Polyurethane paint)
-Perform spray painting functions related to preparatory undercoating, preservatives, and lubricants.
- Clean and maintain paint shop equipment such as air lines, fluid lines, paint pots, paint guns, and respirators.
- Ensure coatings are clad according to customer specifications and requirements.
- Clean and store empty paint containers for proper disposal.
- Maintain and change paint booth media filters and surface protectant coatings as needed.
- Properly contain hazardous waste generated from normal paint shop operations.
- Perform other work-related tasks as required as assigned.
- Comply with all Health & Safety procedures and policies.
- Blasting and Special Coatings Experience a Plus.
*FACILITY SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:*
- Follow the Work Order/Specification to determine the type of paint system required to complete each job.
- Complete the paint section for each Form for Job Procedures and Jobs in Process forms for each individual Work Order.
- Follow procedures when containing and disposing of paint waste.
*Schedule*: Full-time hours 6:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday thru Thursday; Friday hours 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. With with some overtime weekend work required as needed.

*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:*
* Work every scheduled work day including weekends and overtime as required.
* Understand and comply with all PPE requirements at all times, work safely every day and encourage all team members to do the same.
* Read and interpret blueprints, bills of material, and work instructions as necessary to perform each assigned task.
* Paint units and/or components per the quality standards established for Kalyn Siebert trailer finishes.
* Perform all tasks per established quality and efficiency standards.
* Provide training and assistance to other employees as assigned.
* Follow action and communication protocols for nonstandard deviation in processes or materials.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
*SKILL REQUIREMENTS:*

* Proficient in automotive painting techniques and use of the equipment/tools required to accomplish the process.
* Proficient in basic material handling techniques.
* Ability to receive both written and verbal assignments.
* Proficient in problem analysis and resolution.

*QUALIFICATIONS:*
*High School Diploma, GED or similar experience.*
* Vocational school/training.
*WORK ENVIRONMENT:*
*The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas were all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shops and other mandatory safety equipment.*
* For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.
*PHYSICAL DEMANDS:*
*Sitting or standing as needed.*
* Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
* Reaching, pushing, pulling or lifting as required within limits set by Entrans International LLC.
