Director of Accounting

Spherion Staffing is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Director of Accounting to oversee all aspects of a local company's financial operations. This role involves managing accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving financial performance. This role will play a key strategic and operational role in ensuring the integrity of financial information and supporting the company's growth objectives.

Salary $110-115k/year DOE

Responsibilities:
• Supervise and lead the accounting team, providing guidance and mentorship
• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, compliance and accounts receivable
• Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Develop and monitor budgets for properties under management, ensuring financial goals are met
Manage cash flow and maintain accurate financial records
• Conduct regular financial analysis and forecasting to support decision-making
• Collaborate with property managers and executives to optimize financial performance
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Work closely with auditors during financial audits and tax filings
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in property management accounting

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
