The Associate, Retail Channels (Telemarketing) will be responsible for promoting and/or selling OFG banking/financial services and products received or made by telephone or digital media for current clients or prospects and creating records with accurate data entry. Positions works on site in San Juan, PR

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promote and/or sell OFG banking/financial services and products, campaigns, special projects and Marketing events by phone or digital media to current clients as well as cold calling to potential customers.
Ensure quality in all inbound and outbound calls to provide constructive feedback, ensure compliance requirements, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Promote cross sell products and profiling in inbound and outbound calls.
Prepare reports requested by Sales Manager and ensure that these are rendered on a timely basis and with the required quality level.
Verify and provide feedback on the experience using all applications, such as downtime, access and other system performance problems.
Update customer's contact and demographic information in the bank core system.
Forward complex service request to support units.
Report incidences related to access, security, unavailability and overall experience with all applications, database segmentations or procedures.
Explain, and apply department standards, policies, procedures, and criteria when interviewing individuals to collect information and screen for services.
Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related fields required.
One (1) year of experience in retail sales required. One (1) year of experience in a call center highly desirable.
Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
Excellent consulting, sales, and interpersonal skills.
Fully bilingual - English and Spanish (verbal and written) required.
Candidates must be highly analytical, proactive problem solving, organized, detail oriented and able to multitask observing the defined quality standards.
Demonstrated assertiveness in oral and written communications with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other business applications required.
Availability and flexibility to adhere to branch schedule and operations.
