The Vice President, Security plays a key role in all aspects of information technology security and compliance functions for the organization.
This position is responsible for advising senior management in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a company-wide information security infrastructure.
This position will also ensure appropriate control objectives for system integrity, availability and reliability, confidentiality, accountability, and assurance within the context of the companyu2019s risk tolerance.

Remote, USn nMedecision requires newly hired employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless a medical or religious exemption is approved.
Being fully vaccinated means that an individual is at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen.

Information regarding Medecisionu2019s COVID-19 Vaccination Policy and exemption forms will be shared during the interview process.nResponsibilitiesnWHAT YOUu2019LL DO:
nn Closely monitor emerging information security threats, assess the companyu2019s risk exposure, implement mitigating measures, and communicate information to key stakeholders on a timely basis.n Ensure all security monitoring systems and processes are functional and effective.n Ensure information security and compliance is addressed as a business issue across the company and provide overall coordination and management of all security and compliance activities within the company.
nnn Develop and maintain high level relationships with business partner organizations to understand their business requirements and offer security solutions.
Establish ongoing communication with senior leadership on the status of security issues, evolving risks and related recommendations.n Plan and implement the development of security policies and standards.n Monitor changes in industry-relevant legislation and accreditation.n Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as necessary.n Partner with outside consultants as appropriate for independent security audits.
Work with outside auditors on audit issues.n Manage all IT compliance programs and Audit Requests (SOC, HIPAA, HiTech and Understand HiTrust).n Demonstrate successful experience in business continuity planning, auditing, and risk management, as well as contract and vendor negotiation.n Build a strategic and comprehensive information security program that defines, develops, maintains, and implements policies and processes that enable consistent, effective information security practices.
Develop programs that minimize risk and ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information that is owned, controlled, and processed within the organization.
n Ensure information security policies, standards, and procedures are up to date.n Initiate, facilitate, and promote activities to foster information security awareness within the organization and related entities.n Ensure the organization has and maintains appropriate system use and disclosure / confidentiality statement.n Partner with organization personnel involved with any aspect of release of protected health information, to ensure full coordination and cooperation under the organizationu2019s policies and procedures and legal requirements.n Oversee, develop and/or deliver initial and ongoing security training to the workforce.
nn n n nWHAT YOUu2019LL BRING:
nn Bacheloru2019s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field.
(Advanced degree would be highly preferred)n 10 years of experience in logical and physical security in a wide assortment of business disciplines (Government, Healthcare, Software)n CISSP- Certified Information Security Systems Professionaln Audit and Compliance experience a must, preferably in the Big 4 environment.n Significant exposure and experience with implementation and operation of InfoSec Products and Services.n Proven experience in the areas of data security, infrastructure security, endpoint/platform security, security analytics and application security.n Up to 35% travel may be required depending on hire location.nnQualificationsn nThis description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by an employee within this position.
