CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this PositionRO LE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As a mechanical engineer for the Sonar and Sensors business area, youll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing, building, and testing a precision maneuvering thruster for use on submarine platforms.
We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Design of electro-mechanical systems capable of surviving harsh environmental conditions (shock, vibration, temperature); Proficiency utilizing CAD tools to create 3D models and drawings for technical data packages that meet ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 standards; Experience performing structural and thermal analyses to meet submarine environmental requirements.
