RN- Registered Nurse Director of Nursing
Purpose of this position
The purpose of this position is to provide nursing management, set resident care standards for all direct care providers and provide complete supervision and management for the nursing department. Must be committed to person-centered care by embracing and following the facility's goal of person-centered care by demonstrating and being supportive of individual resident choice and controlled resident-preferred routines in all aspect of daily living.

Qualifications
Currently licensed in the State as a registered nurse
Supervisory experience with demonstrated competence and leadership skills
Ability to read and write and understand English and have effective written communication skills
Ability to teach and/or make oral presentations to individuals and group
Analytical skills and the ability to evaluate budget reports, staffing requirements, programs and other data against both subjective and verifiable criteria
Strong planning and organizational skills to ensure all documentation, reports and forms are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Ability to perform effectively under stress
Ability to tactfully deal with facility personnel, residents, family members, visitors, referral sources, etc
Self-motivated/works longer hours
Ability to initiate, direct, delegate and follow-up on proposed programs and care of the residents
Ability to acquire the knowledge of and comprehend the Federal, State and local requirements concerning health care facilities
Meet all health requirements imposed by law.
