The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for performing various functions within the purchasing department including data entry, management of purchasing processes for stock and non-stock items, invoice resolution and analyzing inventory levels. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create reports to analyze and verify all transactions are entered into the MRP system accurately and to resolve discrepancies
- Analyze inventory levels transactions of items purchased to ensure reorder points are appropriate and economic order quantities are correct.
- Process all requisitions, generate purchase orders, submit to appropriate vendors, receive confirmation of price and delivery dates.
- Collaborate and assist warehouse/parts room/PPE departments with order picking, material handling, inventory reconciliation, and scheduled cycle counts
- Run daily reports ensure purchase orders are in the correct status
- Maintain required documentation for food safety compliance
- Maintain system data integrity, ensure entries follow defined nomenclature to support competitive sourcing events
- Analyze contracted supplier agreement pricing for accuracy
- Actively supports capital projects by obtaining quotes for competitive bidding and timely processing of approved projects into purchase orders
- Communicates effectively and collaborates with department leadership and vendors to ensure the position provides a high level of customer service and accountability
- Associates' degree preferred or three of procurement experience, including mathematics and ability to interpret varying units of measure
- Work experience in purchasing, materials management or other related field in a high volume, fast-paced work environment is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, advance Excel skills or similar application and MRP system experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, English required, bi-lingual a plus.
