Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Structural Steel Estimator/Project Manager in Blanchard, OK.
The role will be responsible for daily tasks such as estimating costs, preparing bids, reviewing specifications, conducting takeoffs, and evaluating project requirements, then managing the project through completion and client delivery.
The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities -
- Own bid administration for commercial structural steel projects.
- Solicits and maintains communication with subcontractors and vendors
- Prepares subcontractor bid packages
- Interpret project specifications and conduct accurate takeoffs
- Own project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate project staffing, schedule, and quality issues with Operations Manager.
- Conduct or attend pre-construction meetings outlining all stakeholders, milestones, budgets and progress billings, potential risks, safety hazards, equipment and personnel needed, and project schedule.
- Review material take-offs with procurement.
Ensure that material will arrive according to project schedule.
Qualifications -
- Minimum of 7 years of experience bidding or constructing commercial metal buildings.
- Strong understanding of steel materials and fabrication processes
- Experience in estimating costs and preparing bids
- Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
