• Collaborate with the International Markets team to gain more value driven distributor business for the whole of the Rocky Brands portfolio.
• Maintain current relationships with OG international customers.
• Achieve sales goals and objectives.
• Conduct international market analysis to identify and qualify sales leads.
• Follow up on all international sales leads and communicate opportunity to the appropriate Brand General Manager.
• Compile lists of prospective customers according to market segmentation based on information and knowledge of the industry for use as sales leads.
• In collaboration with the Brand General Managers, work on pricing products for the best outcome.
• Travel internationally to call on established and prospective customers and distributors or attend tradeshows and promotional events to solicit long term relationships and generate orders.
• Introduce products offered to potential customers through phone, web and in-person presentations.
• Utilize marketplace trends relative to the footwear industry in international markets.
• Collaborate together with Vice President, EMEA/APAC, Brand General Managers, marketing and social media teams to implement new market strategies.
• Utilize social media networking in conjunction with lead process.
• Robustly qualify new customers.
• Initiate research and connect with mid- to senior-level executives whose expertise and recognition will elevate the brand
• Meet challenging weekly targets for outreach, prospects, and calls
• Accurately and effectively articulate both brand value and product knowledge
• Assertively contact referrals and close sales by accurately articulating the value proposition and leveraging product knowledge
• Create and manage sales opportunities with a high sense of urgency
• Efficiently and accurately manage CRM data
• Actively engage with others to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies and reduce costs
• Follow established values, work rules, policies and procedures
• Cooperatively take on other duties, roles, or responsibilities, as assigned
• Qualifications
• The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university; or two (2) to three (3) years of related sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One (1) to two (2) years of related business-to-business retail sales experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and government regulations.
• Superior communication skills with the ability to write reports, business correspondence and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of retailers, customers and distributors.
• Superb listening skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Thorough understanding of marketplace trends relative to the footwear industry.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and calculate discounts and percentages.
• Advanced level of experience in Microsoft Office Suites.
• The ability to travel internationally for extended periods of time.
• A valid driver's license.
• A valid Passport.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
