The Software Engineer performs software development work on applications primarily using Java/JEE, EJB, JPA and JSF, frontend and backend solutions, OO-Design, JAVA architectures and SQL Server database programming knowledge (SQL). Software Engineers work in small team sizes (3-5) on projects which run from 9-18 months in duration. Engineers are expected to be self-starters who can learn on their own and work to help train other members of their team in their areas of expertise.
Responsibilities
Undertake the delivery of a defined part of a project, including design, implementation, testing, integration (in-house and on-site) and documentation
Develop and test software in accordance with design requirements
Guarantee the compliances of the QA rules and guidelines
Contribute to the definition of project designs and the project development process, as requested
Adhere to the appropriate design strategies and development methodologies, as defined by the Software Development Manager and Company quality procedures
Provide after-hours support on a rotating basis, to address customer issues that are reported after normal business hours
Fully document all requirements definition, design, implementation and testing to the required standards
Application Requirements
BS degree in Computer Science
Good IT experience in SQL Server
Understanding of real time programming, relational database concepts and architecture
Java/JEE, EJB, JPA and JSF, both frontend and backend solutions, OO-Design and JAVA architectures
Proven track record with SQL, preferably in SQL Server.
Experience with application servers, preferably WebLogic.
Professional experience in software development and software project business - min. 3 years' experience in similar capacity
Knowledge in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), logistics processes and interaction with material handling automation system is desirable
