Power-Flo Technologies is seeking a Pump Repair Technician to join the team at our Buffalo shop location. Experience with submersible and centrifugal style pumps & motors preferred!
Pump Repair Technician Essential Responsibilities
- Disassemble mechanical ac & dc motors, gear units and submersible and centrifugal stylepumps.
- Assemble mechanical ac & dc motors, gear units and pumps.
- Diagnose problems and failures of incoming units to ensure the customer's complaint is resolved.
- Interpret and apply dimensional measurements
- Measure and record electrical data, mechanical fits and clearances.
- Recording all necessary materials in order to complete the repair
- Follow all necessary instructions in order to complete the repair
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area at all times
- Organize and maintain shop tools and equipment
- Organize and maintain personal tools and equipment
- Willing and able to work OT as required.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Basic knowledge regarding use of a pc
- Competent with the use of electrical test equipment, i.e. Multi meter, shop tools, hand tools, pneumatic tools, hoists, etc.
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Knowledge of pump systems and electric motors
- Ability to work both with a team and independently
- Experience in pump mechanics
- Experience with submersible and centrifugal style pumps & motors preferred
- A valid and clean driver's license to operate company vehicles
- Ability to Stand for 8 Hours
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work on elevated platforms
- Ability to climb ladders
