Job Summary:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients and families outside the hospital setting
- Coordinate home healthcare activities
- Ensure adherence to hospital and department policies and procedures
- Perform patient assessments, administer medications and treatments, and report changes to appropriate personnel
- Evaluate patient response to treatment plan and modify the plan as needed
- Utilize agency and community resources to maximize patient outcomes
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers
- Promote patient safety by following related policies, seeking to improve processes, and identifying and reporting any potential hazards or concerns
- Encourage patient participation in their own care
Qualifications:
- Graduate of nationally accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in NM or reciprocal state
- Current CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification
- 1 year of related experience
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary work (up to 10 lbs of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently); involves sitting most of the time, but may require brief periods of walking or standing
Working Conditions:
- No or minimal hazard, physical risk; office environment
Salary: Dependent on education level and certifications, with potential to earn up to $8.00/hr additional compensation through the Clinical Advancement Program
