Experience:
In addition to meeting the above education and licensure requirements, you must have at least two full years of professional dentistry experience and/or training.
This experience is equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service (obtained in public or private sector) as described in the vacancy announcement.
Qualifying experience involves the evaluation, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, injuries, and disorders of the oral cavity and maxillofacial area; the removal of decay; filling cavities; straightening, extracting, and repairing teeth; treating gum diseases; performing corrective surgery; making measurements/models for dentures to replace missing teeth, administering anesthetics, writing prescriptions; and performing other requirements of the position.ORResidency:
You must have completed a 2-year residency program in dentistry, oral health, craniofacial sciences, or a related medical science; or equivalent experience, equivalent in scope and responsibility to the next lower grade level, and/or training.Medical Requirements for the grade GS-12:
