Director of Operations

Position Overview:

Director of Openings/Operations US is the key stakeholder for openings, operations, services, concept, and food safety. Manages Business Units and partners with our Headquarters (HQ) to achieve the best business results and the most appropriate investment module for all businesses. Oversees US operations and New Lounge Openings, ensuring that the businesses are performing efficiently and effectively.
Key Openings/Operations Responsibilities:

Coordinate pre-opening timelines with Leadership Teams and Partners. Manages all timelines and coordinates with operations, procurement, and vendors.
Works with Director of Training to supporting openings and deliverables.
Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of Operational Managers.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Manages lounge operations, partner relationships and other businesses, including sales performance against budget.
Reviews reports and financial statements to determine business unit operations performance against budget.
Coaches and supports operations team to effectively manage covers, pax, occupancy, rates, wages, and controllable expenses.
Establish, recommend, and follow up on renovations in the form of return of investment, operational design, process enhancement, equipment, power planning, service offers and new technology.
Conduct regular and ongoing review of the performance indexes on business results, customer satisfaction, establish and lead the actions required in the improvement and enhancement.
Conduct on-site operation support, evaluate operating facilities, and establish the specific programs/action plans to improve and excel.
Champions change ensures brand and regional business initiatives are implemented and communicates follow-up actions to team as necessary.
Essential Training Functions:

Coordinates and helps conduct New Lounge Opening projects and deliverables.
Conducts coaching, training, review with the business units to ensure all company standards, policies are being adhered; recommend any amendment required to encourage culture, brand awareness and employee engagement.
Onsite and helps to facilitate New Lounge Openings from turnover and 3 months after turnover.
Participates in the hiring and training of Operational Leadership for existing lounges and pre-opening.
Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
Implement and oversee training programs for new and existing staff.
Collaborate with the Director of Training to identify training needs and create customized Training solutions.
Maintain up-to-date training records and documentation.
Foster a positive and engaging training environment.
Ensures there are Certified Trainers in each workgroup.
Drives and delivers Audit, NPS and operational standards pre-open to post opening.
Essential Technical Skills and Management:

Plan, direct, and coordinate the service delivery of all operational departments to meet and exceed guest expectations.
Incorporates guest satisfaction as a component of staff and operations meetings with an emphasis on generating innovative ways to continually improve customer experience.
Oversee the management of all business units, kitchens, hotels, meet and greet service and ensuring that standards, efficiencies, and quality are actively promoted and delivered.
Ensure the most cost-effective F&B purchasing and menu engineering to meet cost as well as revenue priority.
Review the operations modules and make recommendations for changes for both HQ and business unit.
Conceptualize and implement new F&B concepts with the full involvement of HQ and relevant stakeholders.
Support the Openings & Development team as per the operations element of the lounge development and opening process.
Implement and support all brand standards and Food Safety standards.
Establish operations/training programs with business partners to enhance the overall business results and/or quality.
Requirements:

Graduate degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience required.
Extensive and diversified background with at least 10 years of related experience. Minimum of 3 years' experience in Operations upper management.
Proven experience of managing lounges, multi chain restaurants or retail environments with high standards and attention to detail.
Experience with opening a new outlet/business unit.
Travel required 70% of your time. Based out of DFW.
