Long Valley Animal Hospital in Long Valley, NJ is looking for a friendly Client Service Representative/Receptionist who brings great communication skills to the table. This is a full-time position of approximately 32 hours weekly, including Saturday (Off Thursday and Sunday)
Key Responsibilities:
Interacting with clients in a professional manner in person and on the phone
Coordinate and schedule appointments appropriately
Handling any scheduling glitches, and/or rearranging appointments as needed.
Identify potential emergencies over the phone and schedule those appointments appropriately.
Clerical procedures such as alphabetizing files and records.
Organize and process all payment plans and billing statements; Perform cashiering duties
Responds to inquiries about the range of services the practice provides
Check-in/out all clients
Receive and distribute incoming mail and process outgoing mail.
Respond to client emails
Data Entry for medical records, lab work, and a variety of correspondence
Ability to learn basic veterinary medical terminology.
Become familiar with retail products, medications, vaccinations, routine testing, heartworm, and flea preventatives and be able to confidently discuss with clients.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
1+ years customer service/reception experience.
Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and empathy.
Comfortable with dogs/cats of all sizes and temperaments.
Computer savvy. Windows based computer systems. Previous Cornerstone software experience a plus.
Comfortable and skilled in communicating with both clients and coworkers.
Detail-oriented yet able to work quickly and efficiently.
Must be flexible and able to adjust the schedule based on the needs of the hospital.
Possess core principle values of integrity, honesty, and commitment.
Ability to lift 50 pounds. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstations
