Security/Cybersecurity Analyst
Locations: Charlotte, NC | San Francisco/Concord/San Leandro, CA | Minneapolis, MN
Hybrid, 3-days in office
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Information Security/Cybersecurity Analyst with a strong focus on API Security. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust API security measures, ensuring comprehensive API governance, and managing API gateways and controls. The role also involves thorough documentation and conducting threat analysis to safeguard our systems and data from potential security breaches.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive threat documentation for APIs, outlining potential vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
- Author clear and concise control documentation detailing the security controls implemented for each API.
- Craft detailed security procedures that outline the steps for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining API security controls.
- Collaborate with risk control officers and the broader team to identify and mitigate API security risks.
- Conduct threat analysis and threat modeling to proactively address potential vulnerabilities.
- Design and implement API security controls and governance procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest API security trends and best practices.
- 6-8 years of experience as a Security Analyst.
- Proven experience in threat analysis and threat modeling methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of API security, governance, and controls.
- Extensive experience in creating threat documentation, control documentation, and security procedures.
- Strong understanding of security controls and a proven track record of documenting security policies and procedures.
