Security Analyst - Remote / Telecommute

Responsibilities:
  • Performs complex analysis of business issues utilizing established methodology and tools within information security areas.
  • Works with the clients and other resources to assess current capabilities, identify customer needs and recommend business process improvements within information security areas.
  • Provides some complex support and collaboration in completing analysis, providing ad-hoc reports, information or process mapping, and alignment of the business and related resources.
  • Contributes to and participates in process improvement and solution discussions and may present outcomes in written and verbal format to senior management.
  • Develops and designs new business processes and the elaboration and updating of existing business processes within information security areas.
  • Participates in cross-functional team initiatives and process improvement projects within information security areas.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • This contract position is open on the Vulnerability Management team within the Office of the CISO.
  • The position will perform key day to day tasks within the vulnerability management service offering.
  • Such tasks can include proactive review of newly published CVEs by the NVD, timely identification of the remediation owners for reported vulnerabilities from various detection tools (Cloud and on-prem server assets), and reviews of new build systems against an established risk baseline criterion.
  • Certain tasks will require interaction with other team members, while other tasks will be completed independently.
