Job Title: Assistant Building EngineerDuration : 6+ months contract (2pm-12:30am it is a 2nd shift- Wednesday - Saturday)Location: Billings, MTPayrate: $24/hr.We are looking for an Assistant Building Engineer to join one of our Fortune 500 Real Estate clients.Responsiblities
- Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.
- Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Maintains all equipment as required per preventive maintenance programs prescribed by manufacturer's specifications.
- Performs housekeeping functions and maintains the professional appearances of theproperty, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas.
- Maintains an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum.
- Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbingto ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
- Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.
- Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.
- Completes maintenance and repair records as required. Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.
- Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed. Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years experience
- HVAC
Interview process:
1st Round: pre-screen over the phone
2nd Round: 2 other people for 45 minutes each
