POSITION SUMMARY:Process accounts payable in compliance with financial policies and procedures. Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.Perform Front Office Clerk duties to support Plant Management team.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Verify and investigate AP discrepancies
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
- Understand general ledger accounts and cost centers.
- Send out sample requests
- Receipt of goods from UPS, FEDEX, USPS etc.
- Create and process purchase orders for non-inventory products and services
- Responsible for meeting preparations
Experience and Competencies:
- 1-2 years Accounts Payable work experience or other accounting related role
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Data entry skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office (Excel, and Word)
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- A good work ethic and judgement
- Approaches others in a tactful manner; reacts well under pressure; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position
