Duration: 11 months with possible contract to hire

Description:The Role:
The Forecasting Team is responsible for managing the work streams and the resources that affect how appointments are being offered.
The forecast system creates and maintains forecast models for the Network workforce, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from multiple sources.
The Forecast Team is the integration point into the Field Network, supporting FIELD MANAGEMENT in all Regions.
Implementation of the Forecast System, Detail forecast modeling is the responsibility of this position.
This position leads the dialogue for their respective markets and products team.

The Main Responsibilities:
Monitor statistical forecast in the Forecasting Tool which incorporates resource information to allow the company to predict Employee resources and provide its supply chain with information to meet customer demand.
Gather, analyze, and validate data
Review resulting statistical forecast model and plan
Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating a collaborative planning process and improving relationships among planners and Field Management to better guide the company expectations and results while managing expenses.
Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting
Summarize aggregate statistical forecasts
Recommend adjustments for operational forecasts
Prepare relevant material to facilitate research and discussion
Provide input to volume planning (Short term and Historical Load Data for annual PTO process)
Facilitate and manage demand planning customer meetings
Achieve consensus with the business side and the demand chain via planning and stand up calls
Maintain demand planning system and Forecast Tool
Enter and modify data and ensure the correctness of data
Monitor trends in forecast error
Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process
Respond to override requests via chat
Refine systems and methods to continually improve forecasts to better anticipate customer needs.

Must be able to prioritize work and handle multiple issues concurrently.
Computer skills are required including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Candidate must have the ability to work in a consultative manner with others, i.e. establish rapport, interview fact-find, present options, recommend solutions, follow-up and customer focused behavior.
Previous experience in a multi-tasking, result oriented position in a deadline focused business.

This is not a new project, but an existing role that needs some additional headcount while we are transitioning to
a new Dispatch system
Each forecaster is assigned an area to keep an eye on future data and to make sure that we will have enough
resources to cover appointments. We work closely with leadership to make sure we have enough resources.
Data reports in PowerBI and Excel are used to make sure we have enough resources to cover appointments

Who is the customer (internal/external)
Internal (Client- working with Field Leadership and within our department)

What is the size of the group this position will be supporting
Each forecaster will have a couple of Field Leaders (about 5-10) that they would work with and manage their areas

What is the technical environment
PowerBI
Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams
Salesforce and other internal sites that we use to check for tickets

Describe work environment / team culture
There are about 30 other forecasters.

Typical day look like:
First thing in the morning, we have a daily read out call where someone would go through the status on what intervals are looking like. After that, there is a mid-morning call with local field teams where we go through what the intervals are, suggestions on how to improve, etc. This person/forecaster would need to cover this on the call.
Throughout the remainder of the day, they would actively look at Salesforce to see any tickets that do not have resources assigned to them and would work with leadership to resolve any issues/any that do not have resources assigned.

Candidate Detail Section:
What are the top 3-5 skills / technologies and qualifications required
Familiar with the basics of Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Excel (able to create Pivot Tables and Filter Reports would be ideal)
They do not need to know how to create PowerBI reports, just the ability to understand and read reports

What non-technical Skills are necessary (such as communication, problem solving, team player, i.e.)
Strong communication skills: they will need to clearly identify issues and potential solutions, and be able to communicate that professionally with leaders
Strong problem-solving skills
Quality documentation skills

Ideal Candidate background and how many years required:
A Bachelor's Degree is required so that would be preferred if they are interested
Not necessarily a specific number of years required with the skills mentioned above
