As an Accounting Services Lead, while primary day to day duties will be focusing on Accounts Receivable, you will also cross-train in Accounts Payable, Payroll, Data Entry, and more! If you have a "get into the trenches" mentality to meet weekly deadlines, we want to hear from you!
Schedule: Full-time in office, 8190 215th St, W., Lakeville, MN 55044
What You'll Do
- Provide leadership and support to administrative and operational management
- Provide in-depth accounting support of all accounting functions including accounts receivable, payroll, accounts payable, customer work management and job costing
- Ensure accurate recording and recognition of revenue
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of current projects
- Identify and implement process improvements/efficiencies
- Assist with contract bid preparations
- Provide weekly and monthly financial reports to leadership
- Assist in cross-training administrative staff
- Maintain open communications with customers, vendors, superintendents and other staff
- Verify internal consistency, completeness, and mathematical accuracy of accounting documents
- Lead in the compilation of information related to internal and external audit requests and inquires
- Act as backup to the supervisor when needed
- Other duties as requested by leadership
What You'll Have
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting procedures for accounts receivables, accounts payable and payroll
- Must possess an understanding of general accepted accounting principles and internal controls
- Intermediate to advance knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint; SAP experience preferred

Work Environment
- Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
- Early start times- starting at 7AM
- Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
- Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
- Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
Legal Stuff
- Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
- Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
- Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
