The Levy Group of Companies is seeking Heavy Equipment Operator to work at our Specification Stone Products location in Kawkawlin, MI
The Heavy Equipment Operators perform all functions as it pertains to operating heavy off-road mobile equipment for the purpose of loading trucks, rail trucks, rail cars, feeding plant and stockpiling materials.
Pay: $20/hr
Shift/Schedule: Days

Responsibilities
The Heavy Equipment Operator will:
- Operate various heavy mobile equipment such as Cat 980 Front End Loaders and Skid Steers
- Load trucks and stockpile material
- Unload rail cars and stockpile in correct material piles
- Load trucks with the correct materials without contamination while complying with the legal weight limit for the trucks
- Service plant as needed (i.e. minor adjustments, lubrication, cutting, welding)
- Shoveling aggregate under conveyors and around plant
- Perform light maintenance on equipment and plant
- Keep the work area clean and tidy
- Comply with all safety regulations, policies, and record-keeping
- Maintain work area to allow safe movement and access
- Meet customer service expectations
- Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager
The ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to operate heavy mobile equipment or the willingness to learn
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- A team and safety-oriented mentality
- Ability to sit, stand, walk for an extended period, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Work outside for an extended period, and tolerate noise and temperature variations
- Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers
- Valid Driver's License
