The Director, IAP Business Intelligence is accountable for leading Sector Engagement & Business Insights, E&PS strategic planning, and E&PS global performance management efforts. This role will drive tailored sector / business insights to identify improvement opportunity better meeting business goals and clearly articulating opportunities and value in business language. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the E&PS strategic planning process (annual BP, Long range financial plan) and oversee progress against that plan.
A suitable candidate will have a collaborative approach, strong relationship-building skills, general management skills, business insight, knowledge of techniques and tools for project management, the ability to lead complexity and comfort with ambiguity, and an excellent customer service mentality whether the customers are within IAP, E&PS, or the broader J&J organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as single-point of contact (SPOC) regarding E&PS Sector Engagement and E&PS Performance Management and providing strategic support to the E&PS LT
Drive E&PS strategic planning across end-to-end planning process
Drive performance management process and partner with Global Site & Supply Chain Services group for monthly monitoring
Ensure Business Insights Sr. Managers are effectively supporting the Sector Engagement Team & Team Leads and support in driving business outcomes
Translate E&PS budgets, value-tracking, and strategic plan into sector-specific views
Exercise the ability to operate with ambiguity, using unstructured data from multiple sources
Build internal and external networks and attend relevant industry conferences
Qualifications
Education:
University/Bachelors or equivalent degree required
Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent preferred
Professional certifications, (e.g., PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) preferred
Experience and Skills:
Required:
Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience
Experience in Strategy, Performance Management, or roles with regular customer connection & insights
Experience in Supply Chain operations or other operations related functions
Experience in performance management and the selection of key performance indicators/metrics
Excellence in story-telling communication and communicating complex information to technical and nontechnical customers
Ability to analyze and break down complex issues using critical thinking, problem solving, and sound judgement
Ability to effectively partner and deliver results in a matrixed environment
Successful track record of leading a team across different geographies
Strong program management skills, organization, coordination, and action-tracking skills
Experience with finance, budgets, and driving operational excellence
Ability to function effectively and multitask when presented with timelines
Strong communication and social skills with the capability of interacting with senior business leaders
Ability to conduct external engagement and benchmarking
Preferred:
Experience within global medical device or pharmaceutical industry
Experience in either Facilities, Real Estate, or Project Management
Experience building strategic relationships with internal and external customers
Other:
Proficiency in the English language (both verbal and written) is required
This position requires up to 30% domestic and international travel
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $142,000 to $244,950.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is, in the Bay Area, is $163,000 to $281,750
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporations performance over a calendar/performance year.Bonuses are awarded at the Companys discretion on an individual basis.
