Senior System Administrator

Overview

Delaware Nation Industries (DNI) is a Tribal-Owned, Federal IT Services Firm and is currently supporting IT support to the F-35 JPO with IT services in Pax River, MD.
This operation provides a full range of IT support to the F-35 JPO and its mission.

Responsibilities

Provides technical guidance for operations and maintenance on multiple networks, both classified and unclassified.
Directs compilation of records and reports concerning network operations and maintenance.
Troubleshoots network performance issues.
Analyzes and provides capacity planning solutions.
Monitors and responds to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems.
Interfaces with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
Performs system-level operations and configuration of products including determination of hardware, OS, and other platform specifications.
Performs a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems operations, including personnel, hardware, software, and support facilities and/or equipment.
Provides quality assurance review and the evaluation of new and existing software products.
Provides assistance and oversight for all information systems operations activities, including computer, data entry, data control, sever and software administration and operations support, operating systems programming, system security policy procedures, and/or web strategy and operations.
Provides input to policy level discussions regarding standards.
Monitors and responds to hardware, software, and network problems.
Utilizes software and hardware tools and identifies and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting network performance.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Required:


BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related IT discipline.
ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION:
An additional four (4) years of experience can be substituted for a BS or BA degree.
Minimum Experience Required:
Six (6) years of experience in a client-server environment.
Five (5) years of experience in systems administration and analysis.
Demonstrated experience working with appropriate complex systems administration, database administration, and landscape maintenance.
Demonstrated experience working with complex system implementations and organizational processes to include maintaining system documentation.
Demonstrated experience maintaining the integrity and security of servers and systems.
Demonstrated experience to developing and monitoring policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing testing strategies and document results.
Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) or VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
IAT Level III baseline certification in accordance with DoDD 8140.01 "Cyberspace Workforce Management" (or achieve within six months of TOA of hiring)
Preferred Experience Required:
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
Experience with Nutanix servers
Experience with LogRhythm
