A day in the life (just a few of the things you may do on any given day):
Potential to Telework Work in the software development team Develop and sustain integrated, feature-rich capabilities that promote modernization of visualization and presentation tools Provide application development and support to tools that allow mission analytic users to view existing data or contribute new information in a collaborative environment Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure the work is completed in accordance with the constraints of the software development process being used on any particular project Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met What we are expecting from you (i.e.
the qualifications you must have):
Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelors degree Experience in Java and Python Experience with Source Code Control (specifically Git) Experience with IDE (Intellij or Eclipse) Experience with Maven Experience with Spring Boot and Django Familiarity with multiple of the following:
Analytical development:
Machine Learning, Stream, Batch Virtualization Environments:
Kubernetes, Containers (Docker, containerd), AWS/HCI Streaming Frameworks:
Kafka, Flink MongoDB, ArangoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL Must successfully pass a background check and any additional customer background investigation requirements prior to employment What we are desiring from you (i.e.
