Job Summary/Basic Functions
Under the guidance and supervision of the Graduate Advisor and the Coordinator for the Mathematics and Statistics Tutoring Center, the graduate assistant will actively assist in the support of EKU's students while developing skills needed to be successful in their chosen field. The graduate assistant may perform a variety of duties such as assisting students in the tutoring center, assisting faculty in the mass lecture classrooms or running a lab for the mass lecture courses. The graduate assistant may also have the opportunity to work in the Statistical Consulting Center. In this role, the student will assist statistics faculty providing free statistical consulting services to fully affiliated faculty, staff, and students. For those have an interest in teaching there may be opportunities to gain experience teaching lower level courses. Other graduate assistants may assist with faculty research and/or assessment projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree
• Must be enrolled in Graduate School at EKU
