The Belzer Middle School Head Swim Coach is responsible for leading the school's swim team and ensuring that all practices, meets, and events are organized, safe, and enjoyable for all team members. The coach will be responsible for developing and implementing training plans, supervising assistant coaches, and communicating with team members, parents, and school administration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement training plans for the swim team that align with the goals and objectives of the school.
Lead all practices and meets, providing guidance and support to all team members.
Supervise assistant coaches and ensure that they are following training plans and providing support to team members.
Maintain a safe and healthy environment for all team members, ensuring that all safety protocols and procedures are followed.
Communicate effectively with team members, parents, and school administration, providing regular updates on team progress, upcoming events, and other important information.
Attend all meets and events, providing support and guidance to team members as needed.
Maintain all necessary records and paperwork, including attendance records, medical information, and other documentation as required.
Ensure that all team members are aware of and adhere to the school's code of conduct and other relevant policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Experience coaching competitive swimming at the middle school level or higher.
Knowledge of swim techniques, training methods, and safety procedures.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to work well with children and young adults.
