About FW Logistics:
- FW Logistics is a leading logistics and warehousing company with over 9 warehouse locations in the St. Louis, MO area. We are committed to providing exceptional services to our clients, and maintaining the structural integrity of our warehouses is crucial to our success. We are currently seeking a Roofing Technician to join our team and ensure the reliability and longevity of our warehouse roofs.
- As a Roofing Technician at FW Logistics, you will be responsible for the regular inspection, repair, and maintenance of the roofs at our 9+ warehouse locations in the St. Louis, MO area. You will play a crucial role in preventing leaks, structural damage, and ensuring the overall safety and integrity of our warehouses. This position requires a strong understanding of roofing systems and the ability to work independently.
- There would be travel involved with this position. Typical travel would be for one week or less, to our facilities located in Memphis, Atlanta and Montezuma, GA or anywhere else as needed.
- Roof Inspection: Conduct routine inspections of warehouse roofs to identify signs of damage, wear, or potential issues.
- Repairs: Perform necessary repairs to roofing systems, including patching leaks, replacing damaged materials, and sealing seams and joints.
- Preventative Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance measures to extend the lifespan of roofs, such as cleaning gutters and drains, and applying protective coatings.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of roof inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Safety: Ensure all roofing work is conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Communication: Report any major issues or required repairs beyond the scope of your expertise to the Facilities Manager.
- Emergency Response: Be available for emergency roof repairs, especially during adverse weather conditions.
- Roofing certification or relevant trade certification.
- Experience with industrial or commercial roofing systems.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Experience with roof safety equipment and protocols.
