The Assessment Nurse (RN) is a registered professional nurse who assesses and evaluates patients being admitted to the hospital, takes physician orders and does complete medication reconciliation with the physician in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.
Document and process inquiry calls according to Intake policies.
Assess and stabilize patients before discharge or arrange hospital admission.
Notify and assist the on-call doctor with patient interviews.
Obtain administrative approval for all admissions.
Complete admission paperwork following hospital policy.
Maintain an intake log with all necessary information documented.
Make follow-up calls to patients who fail to show up for appointments.
Demonstrate guest relations by example and provide counseling to employees in need of training.
Your Experience Matters What we're looking for:Education & Licensure:
Graduate from an accredited RN program; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a psychiatric facility preferred.
Additional Skill Requirements:
CPR certification and management of aggressive behavior training within 30 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure.
Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.Your Care Matters What we provide for our team:

Compensation:
