Position Responsibilities:
Provides technical and clinical expertise to assure optimal efficiency and surgical outcomes.
Assisting nursing personnel with patient care activities
Helps maintain a clean and safe environment
Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
Reports observed or suspected safety violations, hazards, and policy/procedures non-compliance
Contributes to the progress and development of the organization's performance-improvement program
Reports observed or suspected safety violations, hazards, and policy/procedure non-compliance to the supervisor or other designated person
Ability to move quickly in response to patient, employee, visitor, or medical staff needs
Performs other duties as directed
Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills - ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds
Must be able to work independently and assume responsibility for timely completion of assigned functions
Must be able to work in an environment where there are high stress levels due to constant interruptions, high volume urgency of issues, and interactions with a wide variety of professionals and personalities
Occasionally, work extended hours
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and assist in lifting patients up to 300lbs
