Our growing law firm is looking to add a family attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adept in litigation and trial skills, client management, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and real estate. Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process
Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed
Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action
Keep client files properly organized and up to date
Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings
Qualifications
J.D. required from a reputable school and Georgia Bar License in Good Standing
No prior criminal history and ability to pass a detailed background check
Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high
