Sales Arborist - Residential & Commercial
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Arborist to join our team in a residential and commercial sales position. As a Sales Arborist, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by promoting and selling our tree care services to residential and commercial clients. Your expertise in arboriculture, strong communication skills, and passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences will be key in expanding our clientele and maintaining lasting relationships.
Responsibilities/Business Development:
Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the residential and commercial markets for tree care services
Conduct research to identify potential customers and develop strategies to engage with them effectively
Collaborate with the marketing team to implement sales campaigns and initiatives to generate leads
Consultative Sales
Meet with potential clients to assess their tree care needs and provide expert advice on the best solutions
Prepare and deliver comprehensive proposals tailored to meet each client's unique requirements
Educate customers on the value of our services, highlighting the benefits of proper tree care and maintenance
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our services
Follow up on completed projects to gather feedback and identify opportunities for upselling or repeat business
Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the sales process, providing timely updates and addressing any concerns
Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project details in operating system
Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the management team to track progress against targets and identify areas for improvement
Industry Knowledge:
Stay informed about the latest developments and trends in arboriculture and tree care services
Continuously update your knowledge of local regulations and guidelines related to tree care and urban forestry
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, or a related field preferred
Proven experience in sales, preferably in the arboriculture or landscaping industry
Certified Arborist credential (ISA certification) is highly desirable
In-depth knowledge of tree care practices, tree species, and common tree-related issues
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and understandably
Exceptional client service skills, with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding experiences to clients
Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to meet with clients and visit project sites
Proficiency in using Salesforce preferred, but not required and other sales tools to manage leads and sales activities
