From conservation to renewable energy generation, AMERESCO employees have developed and implemented over $5 billion in energy savings solutions that help our customers utilize clean and sustainable resources.Ameresco currently has a new opportunity based in the PA area for a Business Development Manager to lead and drive energy efficiency and renewable technology business development activities in Municipal, university, school, and hospital market throughout the Pittsburgh/Western PA region.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to identify, target, qualify, and secure prospects for new energy efficiency, performance contract, turnkey construction, and renewable business opportunitiesLead, drive, and manage sales activities and resources from lead generation through development and implementationFormulate marketing and business development forecasts, plans, and activities to increase company presence in defined markets and achieve regional objectivesDevelop, manage, and execute individual and regional sales pipelinesServe as key point of contact with customer and lead all presentationsOversee the successful development, organization, strategic positioning, preparation, and issuance of winning proposals and presentationsReview project submittals for quality assurance, technical accuracy, and customer-oriented solutionsExhibit comprehensive knowledge and understanding of project proposal and contract termsCoordinate the development interface with project management and operations teams to assure customer satisfactionCultivate positive and effective business relationshipsPerform other duties as required.REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 years leadership experience driving marketing and sales activities to develop, secure, and implement multi-million dollar energy efficiency, conservation, and renewable technology performance contract project opportunities.BA/ BS Degree.
Advanced Education desirable.Demonstrated business development, cultivation, relationship management skills with ability to identify customer needs and effectively communicate, position, negotiate, and close solutions sales.Proven ability to analyze and quantify energy and operational needs, use, savings, including energy efficiency, renewable technology, and associated structured financing project development experience.Excellent working knowledge of building automation and energy management systems, facility operations and installations involving chiller and boiler plants, motors, VSDs, HVAC retrofit, conservation, distributed generation, energy efficiency, and renewable technology projects.Superior financial planning, budgeting, and organizational resource management abilities.Excellent verbal, written, technical and computer communication and presentation skills required.Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and business relationships.Advanced MS Office proficiency.
Knowledge of energy analysis software desirable.Valid Drivers License in good standing, issued by resident state required.U.S.
