What you will do:
This is a professional position specializing in counseling, casework, and administrative activities in Licensing, responsible for inspecting, licensing, and certifying human trafficking safe house/home programs for children and adults.
How you will make an impact :
Processes and reviews initial and renewal applications, including background screening clearances and training as required by statute, Florida Administrative Code; determines eligibility and makes recommendations for licensure and certification to supervisor/manager.
Conducts on-site inspections for programs to monitor compliance with Florida Statutes and Florida Administrative Code licensing standards. Maintains tracking system to ensure inspection timeframes are met and the correct number of inspections are completed annually.
Investigates licensing/certification violations and complaints on licensed/certified providers and illegal operations. Prepares reports and initiates administrative action as required by statute and/or administrative code
Inputs and updates provider database or similar tools, on a regular basis. Archives inspections timely and monitors accuracy of data.
Maintain proficient working knowledge of the applicable statutes, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and community resources which provide the framework for the human trafficking licensing programs.
Provides technical assistance to subcontractors and providers to support and promote sustained compliance with licensing standards and ensures corrective action requirements are met.
Attains a high proficiency/skill level as demonstrated through the competent utilization of the program's technology applications.
Manages the progressive discipline and administrative action processes, which includes providing timely administrative complaint notifications to providers, keeping the information system current throughout the administrative action process and closing out each action timely and accurately.
Consults with community partners specializing in human trafficking, stakeholders and other clients regarding licensing and certification regulation.
Responds positively and timely to special assignments and performs other related duties as assigned.
Functions as the liasion between the Headquarters Program Office and Regional Licensing Offices to provide guidance and technical assistance.
Qualifications:
Minimum of bachelor's degree
Knowledge in Human Trafficking and Licensing; excellent written and oral communication skills; and strong interpersonal skills relative to diverse populations in academic, public health, and community settings. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing deadlines. Analytical, decision making, collaborative problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must maintain valid and unrestricted driver's license and daily access to personal vehicle . Complete a background screening and abuse record check. Obtain and maintain a Florida Child Welfare Certification
