We seek a Senior Engagement Specialist with the Department of Defense - Veteran Transition to join our team! You will be responsible for managing and delivering a significant initiative supporting military members and their families as they transition from the military to the civilian sector.
Senior Engagement Specialist: The position of Senior Engagement Specialist must have experience directly supporting clarification of their organization's point of view to its primary audience through direct engagement, site visits, and interviews. Experience monitoring social, economic, and political trends that might affect their organization and recommend ways to enhance the firm's image based on those trends. The Senior Engagement Specialist also works with outreach promotions to ensure engagement campaigns are compatible with the organization's image.
Qualifications:
This position requires a degree from an accredited university or college that includes 15 semester hours in statistics (or mathematics and statistics, provided at least six semester hours were in statistics) and nine additional semester hours in one or more of the following: physical or biological sciences, medicine, education, or engineering; or in the social sciences including demography, history, economics, social welfare, geography, international relations, social or cultural anthropology, health sociology, political science, public administration, psychology, etc.
Credit toward meeting statistical course requirements will be given for courses in
Fifty percent of the course content appears to be statistical methods, e.g., courses that included studies in research methods in psychology or economics, such as tests and measurements or business cycles, or courses in processing mass statistical data, such as tabulating or electronic data processing.
Strong working knowledge of transitioning military personnel and their families to civilian life and program requirements
Previous experience in global projects
Strong project management skills
Strong analysis and critical thinking skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Strong leadership qualities
• Applicants must be US citizens and able to obtain a Secret Clearance*
Must be able to pass government background investigation.
