ANGARAI's reviewer quality controls program deliverables, with a goal of reviewing 80% of all program outputs and 100% of key program outputs. The reviewer also advises the Consultant project team and/or the WMATA staff, as requested, over the course of the task order.
Major Roles and Responsibilities:
The roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Document Review: Evaluate project documentation, including charters, plans, schedules, status reports, and other relevant artifacts. Ensure that all documents are complete, accurate, and aligned with established templates and guidelines.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct comprehensive reviews of project deliverables to verify compliance with organizational standards and industry best practices. Identify and report deviations, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
• Process Evaluation: Assess project management processes, methodologies, and workflows to identify areas for optimization or enhancement. Recommend process improvements to enhance project execution and delivery.
• Risk and Issue Identification: Identify potential risks and issues through the review process and communicate them to the Project Manager or PMO Lead. Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.
• Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that projects adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements. Provide guidance on compliance-related matters.
• Performance Metrics and KPIs: Assist in establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project performance. Analyze metrics to identify trends and areas requiring attention.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate review findings, recommendations, and potential improvements to project stakeholders. Collaborate with the Project Manager to implement necessary changes.
• Knowledge Sharing and Training: Provide guidance and training to project teams on project management standards, tools, and methodologies. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of review findings, actions taken, and outcomes. Prepare regular reports for management summarizing review results and recommendations.
Background and Experience required:
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience on a project or program in areas of engineering and/or transportation.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience working with transportation organizations to develop quality management programs applicable to their scope of services.
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification preferred.
• Prior experience on rail and transit projects preferred.
• Experience in Transportation, more specifically Communication and Signaling will be an added advantage.
