You'll perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of systems and software throughout our development process.
Your technical duties involve the design and development of new software products throughout the product lifecycle.The SIGINT/EW DSP Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance software systems that process digital signals for intelligence and military purposes.
The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of signal processing techniques and algorithms and be familiar with the latest hardware and software tools used in Linux SW development.
The role requires a strong team player who can work closely with hardware engineers, system architects, and other software developers to bring innovative solutions to the intelligence, military, and defense sectors.The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide.
The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains air, land, sea, space and cyber.
Responsibilities:
This role will also support integration, test, and verification in the final productsAnalyze, design, simulate, and implement algorithms in C+ based on customer requirements and/or MATLAB model(s)Develop high-performance software systems that process digital signals in real-timeCollaborate with a multi-disciplined design team (electrical engineers, systems engineers and scientists) to design and integrate challenging DSP SW designs and RF sensor systemsDesign and optimize DSP algorithms for signal demodulation, decoding, filtering, and analysisImplement software solutions that interface with hardware and SW systems (FPGAs, GPUs, GPPs)Develop and maintain software in compliance with security, quality, and performance requirementsContribute to the development of software architectures, design patterns, and engineering best practicesParticipate in code reviews, testing, and debugging efforts as part of a collaborative team environmentThis role will also support integration, test, and verification in the final productsDevelop and maintain requirements documents, functional specification documents, interface control documents, etcDevelop project test plans and test procedures, provide test planning support, and assist in the execution of both lab testing and field testingMust-haves:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related fieldTypically 14 or more years of experience in a related field developing DSP software systems, preferably in a SIGINT/military context - Proficiency in C/C+, Python, and other scripting languages commonly used in DSP systemsAdvanced capabilities using Computer Aided Engineering toolsDemonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practicesExperience working in multi-disciplinary teamsExperience with signal processing libraries and frameworks such as Redhawk, GNU radio, intel primitives (IPP), liquid DSP, FFTW, GNU scientific libraries, etc.
Familiarity with networking, packets, TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast and network architecturesFamiliarity with gRPC, sockets, XML and JSONFamiliarity with a LINUX development environment, Petalinux and YoctoUS Citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.Preferred:
Understanding of industry standard software languages such as C, C#, C+, HTML, Java, Python, and BashExperience with software tools for requirements tracking, code reviews, static analysis, library and artifact repository, and automated buildKnowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and SpiralProficient with data structuresMaster's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related fieldFamiliarity with government open standards:
SOSA, VITA, MORA, etc.Familiarity with FPGA and ARM processors and memory access (e.g.

$138,634.92 - $190,623.01.
