SNC is seeking a Hardware Engineering Manager to lead and support the Mechanical, Structural and Electrical Engineer teams.
As an Engineering Manager, you will be using your skills and expertise to manage functional teams through program execution for our products and services.
These cover a very wide range of groundbreaking aerospace and defense technologies - those that exist today and those that will shape tomorrow.
You will represent the engineering disciplines of mechanical, electrical, and structural at all management level meetings.
You will own and continuously improve processes and procedures, oversee training of staff and provide technical direction as required.
As the Hardware Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in fostering a culture of improvement and development within our engineering organization.
You will work closely with the program engineering teams to identify areas for improvement and help develop and implement solutions.

People Hardware Engineering Hiring, Resource Management, Professional Development, Development Action Plans, Mentoring, and TrainingProcess Hardware Engineering process compliance, development, improvement, training, metrics, and auditsTools Hardware Engineering Tool Training, Maintenance, and ModernizationYou may also manage a small core team of engineering/modeler specialists that are typically allocated to IAS programsMust-haves:
Bachelor's of Science degree in a related discipline and typically 12 or more years of relevant technical experienceThorough understanding of engineering principles and practicesExperience with Computer Aided Engineering tools, analysis and simulationAbility to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teamsA strong technical foundation in systems engineering design principles and practicesWorking knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, analysis, and simulation toolsSelf-starter, flexible, and adaptable with excellent verbal, communication, and people skillsThe ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance is requiredPreferred:
Typically 4-6 years of relevant leadership and/or project management experience (A higher level degree in may be substitute for experience)Previous management experience; exposure to recruiting employees; assigning, directing, and evaluating their work; and overseeing the development and maintenance of staff competenceExperience with identifying and coordinating resources to ensure the required tools, processes, and training are available/effective and programs are staffed and supported to achieve successUnderstanding of how to prepare project schedules, budgets, bids, and estimates for proposed program work packagesAbility to motivate/work with othersPrior exposure to working successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment emphasizing rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities, with minimal supervisionProficiency with Microsoft ProjectBackground in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military#Ll-hybridEstimated Starting Salary Range:
$159,430.15 - $219,216.46.
