Below you will find a detailed job description:
SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER
- Build web-based applications, user interfaces and backend software that automates business processes
- Analyze work flow to determine inefficiencies and opportunities for automation engineering
- Design, implement, test, and launch internal tools
- Maintain existing tools as well as infrastructure
- Develop internal database expertise and manage data pulls
• Understands the end user and can create simple, elegant solutions
- Loves to learn and develop new skills continuously
- Always understands why something needs to be built not just what needs to be built
- Has a strong sense of ownership in every application he / she builds
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree preferred in Computer Science or related major with a strong academic record
- Fluency in Java and J2EE
- Experience with UNIX, preferably Linux
- Experience with building and maintaining applications using MVC frameworks is strongly desired
- Experience with Open Source tools
- Experience in Compliance, Payments and Mobile Apps a plus
- Experience in Amazon Web Services a plus, but not required
- Tack-sharp analytical abilities
