Dorsey & Whitney Senior Docket/Project Specialist Denver , Colorado Apply Now We are seeking a Senior IP Docket/Project Specialist for our Minneapolis,Denver, or Salt Lake City office.
In this role, you will oversee thepatent annuity/maintenance process and support the docket team acrossmultiple offices with docket requests, client onboarding/offboardingefforts, quality control measures and data integrity related projects.
Youwill also assist the IP Practice Manager with various practice groupinitiatives.

In this role, you will:

Conduct daily PAIR review to ensure all correspondence are processed in atimely manner.Oversee the annuity/maintenance fee procedures working with vendor andclient teams.Participate in providing key support in training and quality controlmonitoring.Lead role in IP docketing system updates for client onboarding andoffboarding.Support IP Practice Manager and IP Docketing Supervisor on special docket andIP practice management procedures, projects and initiatives.Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the IP docketing management reportfunctionality to create customized reports and generate general docket reportsfor attorneys and client requests.Maintain accurate docket records and related information via IP docketingmanagement system.Prepare and schedule periodic docket reports and portfolio reports accordingto office procedures.Analyze new docket number requests and create new record in IP docketingmanagement system.Handle various IP docketing management system updates for client informationincluding foreign agents, applicant, owner, assignment data andinventors.
This includes utilizing the bulk-updating feature whenappropriate.Ability to interface with US Patent and Trademark Office, WIPO, and otherwebsites regarding patent and trademark matters.Provide overflow patent and trademark docketing support to other docket teammembers.Assist members of the IP teams with other tasks as needed.May perform other duties not listed above.
What we're looking for:

High School diploma or G.E.D.
equivalent.Extensive knowledge of patent and trademark prosecution as well as a fullunderstanding of IP terminology, rules, and regulations in both US andinternational patent and trademark markets.Expert ability to organize information using various manual and computerformats.Expert knowledge of, and exposure to, docketing databases; Foundation IPis preferred.Expert ability to interface with U.S.
Patent and Trademark Office, WIPO,and other websites regarding patent and trademark matters.Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a large volume of actionitems in a timely manner.Strong communication skills, including following oral and writteninstructions, and the ability to work effectively with firm personnel andclients.Expert ability to prepare accurate, highly detailed work; excellentproofreading skills.Strong computer skills including basic word processing and data entry.Expert ability to organize information using various manual and computerformats.Ability to work independently with little supervision.Ability to work overtime if needed.
Preferred:

At least 10 years of intellectual property docketing experience in a law firmenvironment.
