You will also get the opportunity to work and collaborate with other dams leaders with our Oakland Dams Team.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Conceptual to detailed design of water dams, retarding basins, service basinsPerform as Capture Manager for pre-positioning and preparing proposalsInspection, investigation and condition assessment of existing dams including review and surveillance of monitoring data.Comprehensive Safety Reviews and FERC Part12D Inspections of existing Dams and Hydropower.
This would require the leading of multidisciplinary teams to deliver all aspects.Perform Alternatives Analyses, Feasibility Studies, and Detailed Designs with strong knowledge of design drawings and technical specifications.Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs and applications.Conduct potential failure mode analyses and risk analyses for water storage and hydropower dams, including identifying and developing potential failure modes, and serving as Independent Consultant or Facilitator in risk analysis workshops.Client liaison and experience with technical review boards.Project management of multidisciplinary teams and the engagement of AECOM s operations/finance teamsMentoring and technical development of junior staff, supporting them to achieve technical successCollaborate with technical leads in our Mining Department and with Dams staff in Oakland, CAMakes decisions independently on technical problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work.Supervision received is essentially administrative, with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
BA/BS degree in Civil/Structural Engineering + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseDue to the nature of this work, a valid U.S Driver s License is requiredPreferred Qualifications:
15+ years or more of relevant experienceActive participation in ASDSO and/or USSD (or ICOLD)PMPStrong PM skills, ability to deliver multidisciplinary projects on schedule at the as-sold marginAbility to effectively mentor Deputy PMsExperience working on risk analysis projects (PFMA, SQRA/L2RA)Strong writing and communication skillsBusiness development for new and existing clients, prepare engineering services proposals, cost estimates, and schedules.Must be a resourceful, highly organized professional with attention to peopleStrong commitment to ensuring safe project executionAdditional InformationRelocation is not available for this position.Sponsorship may be available for this role (existing US Employment Visa holders)Travel requirements up to 30%The selected candidate will be subjected to a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Registration Screening (MVR).The offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
