Drives containers to and from the port of Los Angeles. Daily truck inspection and maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Is available to work between the hours of 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
- Hauls full and empty containers between HPL and the Port of Los Angeles.
- Moves containers around the HPL yard as needed.
- Performs daily inspection of truck, and general maintenance, including fueling and cleaning.
- Follows all federal and state driver guidelines.
- Performs similar and related duties as required by Supervisor.
- Uses the Company's Mission/Vision Statements and Core Values as their guiding principles.
Education/Training and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have at least one year of driving experience and be familiar with local roadways, and townships within the route area.
- Must be able to read road signs, building numbers, and maps.
- Port experience is required
- Must be proficient in the English language.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with route customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A)
- Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (PUC Card)
- TWIC Card
- Clean Traffic Abstract
- Forklift Certification
