Responsibilities Support, mentor, coach, and counsel Operations Supervisors and EMS Staff
Oversee, review, manage, and control operational expenses for EMT equipment and supplies, vehicle maintenance, and all Operations Department staff hours worked;
Operations Department Performance Management; manage, track, and document Royal-defined objectives and key performance indicators; conduct quarterly structured appraisals and annual reviews for Operations Supervisors to ensure performance and behaviors are aligned with organizational values, mission, and quality standards.
Oversee staffing levels and scheduling efficiency and utilization; Coordinate with Human Resources on employee disciplinary issues; conduct suspensions and terminations
Provide backup support for interview assistance on an as-needed basis
Oversee, review, and address service-related unusual occurrences, issues, or concerns; stay abreast of and follow up with Supervisor led investigations; review and finalize findings report; analyze and recommend process improvements and communicate with Supervisors and Regional Operations Manager/Director of Operations
Manage and coordinate yearly audits and inspections for State, CHP, and DMV compliance; address and manage the implementation of any needed changes
Coordinate facilities management; manage relationships with contractors; request and assess bids for work and repairs; consider budget restrictions; delegate as needed; communicate proactively to ensure minimal distractions and minimize any inefficiencies
Assist Risk and Safety Manager for any work-related injuries and exposures on an as-needed basis
Consider safety and security precautions when engaging in all activities or when observing others engaging in activities and make appropriate recommendations for improvements or take the steps necessary for immediate action
Communicate effectively with the CEO, Human Resources Department, Operations Team, Billing Department, Communications Center, Account Managers, CCT Department, and VSTs and keep them informed and up to date on issues, trends, and any relevant information
Handle protected health information (PHI) in a manner consistent with the HealthInsurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Participate in all Company-wide events and meetings
Demonstrate and support Royal's Mission, Values, and Quality Standards
Requirements/Qualifications:
Team Leadership - Build, motivate, and inspire others
High-school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
Demonstrated success in Process Improvement and Project Management
Prior operations management and team leadership experience (EMS/Ambulance experience is highly preferred, but NOT required)
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to interpret data and comprehend system performance and efficiency improvement measures
Demonstrated ability to confront conflict effectively and formulate collaborative resolutions
Good problem-solving ability with sound reasoning and analysis of options

Strong working knowledge of basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Tableau)
