PXiSE Energy Solutions is hiring a Technical Sales Manager!
• JOB SUMMARY
•
The Technical Sales Manager will develop, lead, and manage a technical sales engineering team. The sales engineering team supports solution design and develops project scopes, bills of materials, technical diagrams and other supporting materials to support sales and contracting of PXiSE products. The ideal candidate is eager to grow their career and develop an in-depth understanding of software solutions for the 21st century grid.
• DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•
• Works with Sales Teams to develop and communicate Sales Account strategy
• Work with Sales Teams and Product Management to communicate customer technical and business requirements
• Plans, coordinates and participates in team sales calls to deliver presentations, demonstrations, problem solving and project scoping to customers
• Analyzes and defines customer needs and requirements and provide customer consultation in the development of system specifications and solutions
• Maintains high level of market awareness of competitions strategy, programs, features and policies to develop responsive programs to counter competitive assertions and promote PXiSE solutions
• Provides project justification to customers through historical data review, process studies and Return on Investment (ROI) calculations
• Develops and delivers formal and informal training on systems industry issues and applications to internal and external audiences
• Applies systems knowledge to customers process to define, design and develop system solutions
• Develop and deliver technical presentations to industry organizations and conferences
• Plans and coordinates presentations and demonstrations to customers and potential customers
• Manage internal and external resources necessary for preliminary designs, simulations and documentation
• Develop and maintain technical specifications and requirements for PXiSE products and solutions
• Monitor workload and assign team managers/supervisors to specific projects/tasks
• Promote remote engineering methods and use to minimize cost and manage peak workloads
• Promote cross training and collaboration
• Manage personnel requisitions, identify candidates, and interview in accordance with Yokogawa hiring policies
• Other duties as assigned
• SECONDARY TASKS:

• Diligently monitors for unintended contract scope creep and additional opportunities to Sales Managers.
• Demonstrates a high level of understanding of both basic and advanced grid control technologies.
• Demonstrates knowledge of industry standards and emerging practices that apply to utility/grid control/renewables industry.
• Demonstrates knowledge of PXiSE-wide products and proactively suggests value added opportunities to Sales and customers.
• Promotes in-house and external training and learning activities as needed.
• Prepares, presents papers, and/or participates in PXiSE or external industry conferences or meetings.
• Understands, follows and continuously promotes safe work practices.
• Travels 30% of the time.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

• Must be able to set and hold priorities between multiple demands and actions for the technical team
• SPECIFICATIONS:
•
• Education & Experience:
• BS degree in Engineering or other relevant disciplines and 12 or more years of experience or MS degree in Engineering or other relevant disciplines and 11 or more years of experience. Technical, Sales, and/or management experience. Work credit may be credited for a PhD or military experience.
• Qualifications:
• This position is recognized as a subject matter resource across the organization, and in some cases the industry, providing insight and possibly supervision to cross-functional teams. Additionally, must be able to work with internal and/or external clients in understanding their needs. The ability to effectively initiate, develop, and oversee complex ideas, design concepts, proposals, procedures, project and design reviews is considered critical for success in this role.
